Project overview
On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Venezuela was struck by two of the most powerful earthquakes the country has seen in over a century. Both earthquakes caused widespread damage across the country. Over 1,943 people were killed, over 10,500 were injured, and over 43,200 were reported missing.
Please support responding organizations MapAction and GiveDirectly by helping them to locate 'tent cities' that have sprung up since the earthquake. This will help surface urgent response needs to teams working on the ground in Venezuela.

HOT Tasking Manager Geometries
This dataset contains shapes that are ready to use in the HOT Tasking Manager. Currently, the geometries consist of maximum 15 MapSwipe Tasks, where at least 35% of all users indicated the presence of a building by classifying as "yes" or "maybe"

This project is part of the OpenStreetMap community. The goal is high-quality geographical data, freely accessible and available to everyone. OSM’s reciprocal license protects the data from being appropriated by services that do not share back to OSM.
